The Breo Lustre Watch

I've only recently started wearing watches again, and this could be my new favourite. I went through a phase of believing watches were pointless, I mean, why do you need one? My phone's constantly in my hands, so why not just use that and cut out the middle man?

But, when I realised how much they could add to an outfit, it's fair to say my opinion changed rather quickly. Rose gold jewellery is my favourite at the moment, and isn't the face of this watch gorgeous? I just love how minimalistic it is.

This is the Lustre watch* from Breo, and I honestly really, really like it. (It's available in other colours too, by the way!) The strap is a matte black rubber, and I absolutely love how it looks contrasted with my skintone. It's surprisingly comfortable on the wrist as it's really lightweight - which is perfect. 

Breo have also recently released quite a few new designs, which are definitely worth checking out! I can't wait to wear this on holiday later this year, as it's both beautiful and practical...

Magnitone Pulsar - My Thoughts

For me, skincare routines always end up feeling like a chore. Moreover, since I started double cleansing in the evenings, the motivation to actually leave my bed to do so, has been lacking. But, add a cleansing brush to the mix, and the whole process is so much easier. I've recently been using the Magnitone Pulsar* and I really like it.

So, first of all, my skin type: combination. It's quite sensitive, so I was a bit sceptical as to whether this bad boy would make it worse, but more on that later. I also have some stubborn scarring on my forehead, which I'd love to see the back of.

Anyway, the Pulsar has four settings; sensitive, pulselift massage mode, exfoliate and deep cleanse. At the moment, the sensitive setting is my favourite. My skin's quite new to this whole brush cleansing thing, so I found the exfoliate setting a little harsh, and I'm yet to try the pulselift massage mode, but it sounds rather intriguing. It apparently 'promotes skin stimulation and boosts blood circulation for improved skin tone and a youthful boost' - but I'll have to get back to you on that one.

I have been using my brush in the evenings with Superdrug's Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser, and it's such a lovely combination. I don't wear any base makeup - so I can't comment on makeup removal - but it leaves my skin feeling really clean, but not at all sore or irritated.

One thing that I really like about the Pulsar, is that it doesn't need to be charged very often. I think one full charge lasts a couple of weeks, which is perfect, as nobody wants to faff around charging this everyday. As for the brush itself, it's a nice size and I really like the packaging.

Overall, I really like this brush, but at £129.99 it's quite an investment, so maybe not one to buy on a whim...

Mac Costa Chic Review

I bought my first Mac lipstick while I was in London, it was totally on a whim. I didn't go in with any idea of which lipstick I wanted, all I knew is that I wanted a corally colour.

I swatched and I swatched, and in the end I went for Costa Chic. Don't get me wrong it's a gorgeous colour - exactly what I was after, the only thing is, I didn't realise it was a frost finish. But more on that later...

First things first, £15 is quite a lot for a not quite high end brand, but you can definitely tell it's worth £15. The actual bullet is really sturdy unlike some other lipsticks I have. *Cough - ELF - Cough* This lipstick also has a really nice scent - a subtle vanilla, which is lovely as it's not at all overpowering or synthetic smelling.

The shade is a corally pink that looks really bright on my skin tone, which is something I love! And despite being a frost finish, it's still quite moisturising. The texture is quite creamy and I find this doesn't cling to any dry patches on my lips or make my lips any drier.

I find this lipstick lasts for a good few hours without needing to be reapplied, and I find it doesn't really transfer at all. When this does start fading, it leaves a nice pinky stain which with some lip balm on top, looks lovely.

My solution to the whole shimmery lips problem, is as simple as blotting the lipstick after I've applied it. Although, the more I've worn this, the more I've come to love it and its shimmery goodness.

So overall, I'd definitely recommend this lipstick if you can get over the whole frost finish situation! Mac - please release this lipstick minus the shimmer!

Soap and Glory Calm One Calm All Review.....

At Christmas I always get a plethora of bath products and 'smellies' and it certainly takes a while to use them all.....

But one I've been a fan of ever since I received it was Calm One Calm All from Soap and Glory. It has that  signature S&G scent which I have no idea how to explain. Just think Righteous Butter or Hand Food.

The actual product is a shimmery baby pink, but when added to water creates loads of lovely smelling bubbles, which is great as I love a nice hot bubble bath.

I find when I get out, my skin feels really soft and smells of Soap and Glory, which is brilliant. But I love using the Righteous butter along side this to keep my skin hydrated and smelling gorgeous for longer.

This bottle is massive, I haven't even used half of it yet. So at £5.50 it's definitely worth buying, considering how long it lasts!

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Review*......

I was recently contacted and asked if I wanted to try out some more John Frieda goodies. You may remember I tried out a different set a while ago and you can see what I thought of the John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner here.

Anyway back to the Liquid Shine set. I've been trying these products for about a month now, and I've been quite impressed with the results.

I find the shampoo lathers really well and a little goes a really long way. As for cleaning my hair, this shampoo does an average job. I found it didn't really help with the frizziness of my hair and didn't make it look that shiny either, which was a shame.

The conditioner however I really love. It really softened my hair and I also didn't need to use very much each time I washed my hair. It's a nice thick consistency and I love how my hair feels after I've used it.

One thing I've noticed while using this duo, is the lids leak. So I don't really recommend these for travelling.

Other than that I've found these to be average when used together, but I might consider repurchasing just the conditioner.

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie Review......

You might have realised that today's photos are much better quality, than in my previous posts.... That's because this afternoon I bought myself a new camera, this wasn't a spur of the moment things as I'd been thinking about doing so for a while. But then yesterday at the Benefit bloggers event, there were DSLR's everywhere and to be honest, I was very jealous so I felt now would be a great time to upgrade!

Anyway, back onto today's post.

I know I'm really late to this party, but a while ago I won a giveaway, and this gorgeous lip butter was one of the prizes. And I must admit, I've been loving it ever since!

This shade is Berry Smoothie, and is a very sheer pink when applied to the lips. I like wearing this in the day as it isn't too bright, but it can also be built up to a deeper berry colour.

I find this is really moisturising as it's a cross between a lipbalm and a lipstick, but I also find this shade is really glossy. So perfect for on the go, or for days when I don't feel like wearing a bright lipstick.

I really like the coloured packaging, as it makes this really easy to spot amongst my other lip products. I find this lip butter lasts for a couple of hours on my lips without having to be re-applied, which is great considering it's essentially a lip balm!

These retail for £8, and I highly recommend them!

I Put Some New Shoes On & Suddenly Everything's Right*...

I was recently given the opportunity to review some lovely shoes from Barratts, and obviously I said yes. The boots I chose were the: Stud Trim Lace Up Ankle Boots. I've been wearing and trying them out for a couple of weeks, and it's fair to say I'm in love!

These boots are actually surprisingly comfortable and fit really well. The quality is fantastic and they feel really expensive.

On first inspection they look quite clumpy and bulky but they're really light and easy to walk in. I've worn these with dresses as well as leggings, so they're a great all-rounder.

Instead of unlacing the boots to put them on/off there are zips on the sides. Which is great, as I can never be bothered to undo the entire boot to take them off.

These are so similar to DM's, it's incredible, luckily they're only a third of the price.

These cost £32 which I think is really reasonable for a great quality pair of boots, and are definitely a timeless piece!

The Body Shop - Body Butters Review

For as long as I can remember my Mum's been a fan of The Body Shop's body butters, meaning that I've used them for years. They are incredible, and I can see why they're so popular!

The body butters come in a wide variety of delicious scents, but my favourites are the Mango, Satsuma and Grapefruit ones. In the shop there is always a table with all of the testers, but Mango is the one I always reach for.

They're all thick body butters that come in the large, round, colourful pots.

When applied, they sink in to the skin really quickly, so there's none of that awkward waiting around time. I find they really moisturise my skin, but don't leave it feeling greasy at all.

The scent lingers for a good 5 hours, which I personally think is incredible, but they're not too over powering either. I find a pot of this lasts for ages, so despite being £13 for 200ml it's not actually too pricey, in the scheme of things.

I definitely recommend these, and if you haven't tried one yet, do!

NYC Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny

Today's post is going to be a review of a product I've been using quite a lot recently, NYC's bronzer in Sunny.

I received this bronzer from the lovely Shona who writes the blog freshbeautyxox, and have loved it ever since! Shona said it was great for paler skin, and oh boy was she right!

I'd never really been a bronzer kind of girl, as I thought they were all bright orange and completely unsubtle, but this product totally changed my outlook.

This product comes in a brown compact, with a large mirror as well as a sponge to apply it with. The packaging isn't great, but for the price is more than satisfactory! 

The bronzer itself is a warm, medium brown. It's matte which is great, and it's also not at all orange. This product doesn't have a scent, but I love the sun imprint as it makes it a bit more fun.

I've found it to last really well on the skin, and doesn't need to be reapplied throughout the day. This bronzer is pigmented yet blends really well.

I'm not sure why this product isn't available in the UK, but I know it's only about $3, so I'd definitely recommended it to all of my international followers!

Diesel Loverdose.....

Today's post is going to be a review of one of my favourite perfumes at the moment: Diesel Loverdose.

I'd never tried a perfume from Diesel, before I tried Loverdose, and I'm not disapointed in the slightest!

First things first, the bottle is really pretty and reminds me of Vera Wang's signature heart shaped perfumes. Although, I think the chisel effect makes it far more interesting!

This perfume smells gorgeous and is also very unique! It's quite a deep musky scent, but is also very sweet at the same time. The main scents are liquorice and vanilla, but I personally don't think it smells too aniseedy. ( If that's a word?!?!)

I'd say this is both a day, and a night time scent. This perfume lasts a long time on the skin, and isn't too overpowering either.

Nanshy Foundation Makeup Brush Set*.....

I was recently given the opportunity to review a brush set from Nanshy - a new company specialising in make up brushes and accessories.

The brushes I was sent are from the Foundation brushes range. The set is £29.50 or you can buy each brush individually for £9.95. I was also sent the matching Nanshy Brush Holder, which retails for £19.95. Nanshy are also cruelty free, which I think is brilliant in this day and age!!

All of the brushes have the same chunky white handle, which makes them really easy to use. The bristles are very soft and they don't appear to have shed at all yet! They feel really good quality and are very easy to use... 

1) Flat Top Buffer Brush.

This brush is really good for buffing in any liquidy type product. Whether it be foundation or tinted moisturiser. I find this brush isn't too dense but it's not flimsy either. I found that it blended in my foundation perfectly!

2) Flat Angled Buffer Brush.

Equally this brush is really good for foundation. However, I found it was really good with dry products as well! I also tried this brush out with a setting powder and it was great! This brush is quite dense but certainly didn't 'cake on' the product. 

3) Pointed Foundation Brush

This brush is really soft and easy to use. I found it to be really good to use for specific areas. Such as under the eye or around the nose, it blends the product in very well despite being quite flimsy at the top! However, the entire brush is very dense and very useful!

4) Round Buffer Brush

I used this with an MUA blush and it worked really well! I also think this could also be very useful when it comes to applying a powder highlighter - as it looks like a great size for the cheekbones! This brush is very soft and applies the product really evenly!

Overall, I really recommend these brushes, especially if you're looking for a set of just foundation brushes, as all of these are brilliant!

Valentines Day Bakerdays Cake!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!! I recently received a really exciting tweet from Vikki who writes the blog Victoria's Vintage. She told me that I'd won her recent giveaway! The prize was a cake from the brand Bakerdays. 

Before reading Vikki's blog I'd never heard of this brand, but I'm very impressed with the cake I received! This cake is called the 'Love Birds Valentines Cake' and costs £14.99 including delivery.

It arrived in a white box, which contained a yellow tin, a discount voucher, a card and some love heart sweets. The cake was inside the yellow tin, which I think adds a really cute touch to this product, and makes it feel more luxurious! Plus it's reusable, and prettier than a cellophane wrapper!

I must say that this cake was absolutely delicious! The sponge was really light and fluffy and the icing was really rich!

The only downfall was the size....Shame it wasn't bigger - this is the 'Letterbox Size' and it says it serves 4-5 portions. I think the fact that this cake can be personalised is brilliant!

Wet n Wild: Walking On Eggshells.... Review

Today's post is going to be a review of the infamous Wet and Wild trio. I actually received this product in a beauty swap, with the lovely Jess from SimplyJess4U And I've loved using it so far!

This palette contains three shimmery eyeshadows. One's a creamy champagne, one's a warm peach and the other is a really lovely rich brown. 

They are really pigmented and last all day without a primer. They're actually soft and in my opinion not chalky at all! They're also easy to blend, but don't fade to nothing once on the lid.

I love how each shadow has a label as to where to use it on the eye. Although I don't always stick to what's suggested, as I think the 'browbone' colour looks lovely all over the lid.

It's fair to say I use this nearly everyday, as it's so easy to pull together a complete eye look! This is really great for a neutral look, and I think it'll work with any skin tone!

I think this retails for around $3, and it's worth every cent. And more! The packaging is really simple and I love the little diagrams on the back! It does come with two applicators, one being a sponge and the other a small angled brush. This makes it great for travelling or keeping in your handbag.

Overall I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a neutral eyeshadow palette!

 It's such a shame these aren't readily available in the UK because there are so many more of these trio's I'd love to try!

Rainbow Bead Creations*.......

Today's post is going to be about an absolutely gorgeous bracelet, I was sent the other day to review....

It's from the company Rainbow Bead Creations. They sell wholesale beads, accessories and lots of different handmade bracelets. They have a variety of  Shamballa bracelets as well as some beautiful 'Pandora style' bracelets.

The bracelet I chose was a pink 'Pandora style' bracelet.

 It has 10 beads and one pretty heart shaped charm. It's an amazing quality and definitely really well made! It fits my wrist perfectly, and looks far more expensive than it actually is!

 This bracelet retails for around £10, which I think is really good, and certainly doesn't break the bank.

Overall, I really recommend this bracelet and I think It'll be the bracelet I wear everyday! It's so pretty without being over the top.

 I've thought about getting an authentic Pandora bracelet but have gone against it due to the price. I'd also be too scared to wear it in case I broke it. I think this bracelet is a brilliant alternative, as I guess you could add some more of your own beads if you wanted to, to make it more personal!
