Bourjois Nude Velvet Review

This is my first cream blush. There, I said it. I've been on a total cream product binge recently, so I obviously had to pick one up from Bourjois. Before I continue I should probably point out that this is also my first product from Bourjois - what??? But with all the recent product releases, it certainly won't be my last.

The packaging - isn't it cute! It's a little compact with a magnetic clasp and a mirror inside. I love that the colour of the pot corresponds to the colour of the blush - oh, the little things! Unlike the powder blushes, this is really slim and almost flat, which makes it so convenient for carrying around in my bag or when travelling!

Onto the shade: 01 Nude Velvet. I really like it. It's a gorgeous peachy coral that looks really subtle on my skin tone. I love how this warms up my face, without being too over the top or garish.

The formula is 'cream to powder' which makes it that bit better in my books! I think the main reason I've avoided cream blushes, is because I've always thought they'd look shiny and greasy on the skin. But, oh my, I couldn't be more wrong. I apply this on the apples of my cheeks with my small stipple brush from ELF, and it blends so flawlessly.

When I apply my makeup in the mornings, before school, it's still going strong by the time I get home - perfect.

Have you tried these?
What do you think of Bourjois' new releases?

  5. Ooh, I've recently taken an interest in cream products because I always seem to smash my powder blushes and eyeshades, but I'm a little iffy on the shinyness of them too. This sounds like absolute perfection though! I might have to see if I can get it in Australia xx

  7. It looks amazing on you, the perfect shade for the natural look too! I'm also yet to try a cream blush and it's for the same reason you said, I'm worried it may look greasy on me. I think I may have to invest in one soon though, the Bourjois ones look so cute too. xo
