Pure Papaya Ointment*.......

Today, I thought I'd write a review on the Pure Papaya Ointment. It's a product made of Papaya fruit, Calendula extracts, Shea butter and Macadamia oil. As you can tell the ingredients are all natural and good for your skin. As it says on the tube "It's made and owned in Australia.".

Calendula was traditionally used for soothing, and healing irritated skin. It also has anti-fungal properties. All of this means that it's definitely going to help your skin.

This product can be used for many things:
  • to moisturise dry lips
  • to soothe and moisturise irritated skin
  • to help skin elasticity
  • to relieve the effects of wind and the cold weather on your skin
  • as a healing balm after tattooing
  • used on insect bites.
It comes out of the tube as a thick yellow gel, but when rubbed into the skin it melts and turns oily. I don't use this all over my face because I already have quite oily skin, so I don't want to make it even worse.

But, I do use this on my lips and cheeks. I always have really dry lips and nothing seems to help it for very long. However, this seems to be doing the trick. It's quite thick and tastes quite nice. I also use a small amount of this on the tops of my cheeks. I have a really dry patch on each side of my face - this also seems to be helping it.

The fragrance for this product is coconut based, so anyone with really sensitive skin can use this product.

On the tube it says "Petrochemical free", one of the most common petrochemicals is petroleum jelly. I didn't know that petroleum jelly can sometimes dry your skin out even more, as well as other things. Perhaps that's why Vaseline never works on my lips.

Here is the official Australian website for Papaya Ointment. However it is available to buy here, and get it shipped to the UK with free delivery.

The only downside is that it is £9.99 for a 25g tube - but I'll leave that to your judgement, whether you think it's too pricey.

Pure Papaya have been very generous, and have issued me a coupon code to give my blog followers. Use the promotional code PUREpapaya25 on the checkout page to save 25%.

I was lucky enough to be sent this item - but my opinions will remain 100% honest.
