Hi all! I'm alive, justttt. It's A Level season here in the UK, and it's fair to say things are rather hectic. In case you're new around here, I'm currently completing A2's in Biology, Ethics and Philosophy, and Psychology. So far I've completed two out of my seven exams, and I've never been more excited for a fortnight to pass. My last exam is the 23rd June, and I am literally counting down the seconds until then. Freedommmm. In September I'm hoping to study Psychology at university, and so I've got my fingers crossed that these exams don't go too horrendously.

Once I've broken up for summer I'm planning on jumping right back on BF&L, and starting posting regularly again! Also, I'd just like to add that I am currently 100% obsessed with Love Island. I've watched 9 episodes in the last 48 hours, and I think I'm finally all caught up. Which is your favourite couple? Also, can you tell I've been procrastinating?

Anywayyyyy, I better get back to looking like I'm revising, but I'll be back soon!

updates

Okay, so what's happened since my last proper update;

I turned seventeen, hooray. My friends and I all went out for dinner to celebrate, and it was lovely. I love my friends. They genuinely make me laugh so much, and it's fair to say that Ill miss them when we all move away next year. On my actual birthday I had my first driving lesson. It went surprisingly well, and I'm enjoying driving.

Guess who has tickets to see James Bay in October... Yep, that would be Elliot and I. I'm so excited. I've had Chaos and the Calm on repeat for a few weeks now and I love it. My favourite tracks include if You Ever Want To Be In Love and When We Were On Fire.

A couple of evenings ago I rearranged my room, and it looks a lot bigger and more minimalist. I like it. So I was perhaps thinking of doing a room tour of sorts...?

I've recently got into watching documentaries?!?! I never thought that'd be something I'd say, but it's true. I've watched quite a few recently. but the Louis Theroux ones are my favourite at the moment.

We're currently midway through the Easter Holiday and it's fair to say I've been rather busy. Last week I went for a bike ride. Not a nice, calm stroll as I'd expected, but an offroad mountain biking track. It's fair to say I wasn't too well prepared and totally out of my comfort zone. It's fair to say Elliot and Billy enjoyed their morning, me not so much. I've never been so shattered. That evening I had a party to attend, and I was struggling to keep my eyes open by 11pm.

What have you done recently?

2014 & 2015

2014 was such a great year for me. I made some truly wonderful friends who I love more than anything, visited some incredible places, made some great memories, got a job and finished school forever.

2014 saw me have the longest summer holiday of my entire schooling life... An entire 10 weeks with no regimented routines, it was bliss. I filled the summer with days out, parties, sleepovers, exercise?!?!?!?!?!? and so much more.

In 2014 I saw a few of my favourite groups with my favourite people; Bastille, The Kooks, Bombay Bicycle Club. In August my family and I spent a fortnight in Orlando, and it was incredible.

I don't really have any resolutions for 2015 other than just be happy - which is incredibly cheesy and cliché - but it's a reasonable aim.

I'm going to start running again, as it's fair to say the other day I had a rather big wake up call. Ed and I were shopping, and after climbing a couple of flights of stairs I was puffed out. And I know I shouldn't be admitting such things on the internet, but hopefully the embarrassment will spur me on to do something about it.

This year I want to surround myself with positive people who only want what's best for me, and so far so good. I have quite a few things to look forward to in the coming 12 months;
- Learning to drive
- I'm seeing Ed Sheeran at Wembley
- John and I are hopefully going to Reading Festival
- My family and I are off to Orlando

The 'bae' and I broke up in November, and I hadn't expected it to be so difficult. But that's in the past now, so onwards and upwards. I'm definitely happier now than I was back then, and we're really good friends again now. So there you have it, that was my year, I'd love to hear how 2014 was for you

Goodbye Braces

I have my teeth back. Hooray! On Monday morning I had a 9am appointment to have my braces removed, and it's fair to say I was rather excited! I've dedicated an entire post to my braces here, but for today's post I thought I'd do a little update...

Okay, so the actual removal process is not painful in the slightest, and it's honestly so quick. My orthodontist just used a tool similar to pliers to remove the brackets. He then used a little electric machine to remove the glue from my teeth - this didn't hurt either.

I then had moulds taken for my retainers, and a few photos taken to compare with the initial photos. It was honestly such a quick and painless process! I can't believe how different my teeth look - the change is incredible.

It's great to eat a meal without getting food stuck in my braces, and I've never described a teeth brushing experience as fabulous, but I have since I've had them taken off. I'm excited to eat all the sugary foods and drink all the juice and smoothies now though!

(P.S. I know the above photo is from Instagram, but that's okay - right?)

Updates, Updates, Updates

Despite posting a couple of times in the last few weeks, I didn't really have the motivation to post, and for that I am sorry. But now the summer's here, I'm free to do as I please, which includes posting more regularly - hooray!

To kick start this whole process, I decided to give BF&L a complete overhaul. I seem to go through so many blog designs, but I honestly think this one's a keeper. (I said that last time too...) Also, feel free to check out my blog design shop, I'd love to redesign your blog for you!

I'm going to start offering advertising, here on Becca's Fashion and Life, and I'd love to have your button in my sidebar! There are two packages available, and you can see those here.

I have a feeling the next fortnight is going to be a busy one. I have; my last exam, leavers day, prom as well as quite a few parties to attend. But I'm going to try my very best to post almost everyday, as I did before exams kicked in!

I'm going to try and incorporate more fashion related content into my schedule, which I'm personally quite excited about, I don't know about you? I'm also going to be on Twitter and Instagram a lot more, so feel free to give me a follow!

Anyway, I think that's enough admin related rambling for today. How are you? What have you been up to recently? What do you have planned for the summer?

Taking It Steady...

I've been posting daily since November, and to be honest I'm rather proud of this little blog. But, I've mentioned exams and revision quite a lot, and it's got to the point where I'm struggling to maintain the school/blog balance.

I'm not saying I'm completely ditching BF&L, but I don't think I'll be able to post new content every day. But, procrastination is my middle name, so no doubt a few new posts will still be published! I will have finished school by the end of June, so I'm sure things will be back on track by then!

I'm going to try my best to update my Twitter and Instagram, over the next few months, so make sure you're following me to stay in the know!
