Getting Back Into Blogging

Brace yourselves, this is going to be a bit of a ramble... I feel like I've mentioned this before, but recently - specifically over the last few weeks or so - I haven't been as interested in BF&L as I'd liked to have been. I mean, I've been publishing the odd post or two, but I haven't really felt very connected. Writing new content was becoming a bit of a chore, and with the great weather we've been experiencing in the UK, I just didn't have the mojo.

That being said, over the last day or so I've suddenly felt the motivation to start creating new, regular, content again. Yay. I'm not entirely sure what's caused this U-turn, as just the other day I was telling my Dad how close I was to throwing in the towel with this whole blogging thing...

But then that led me to think of all I've achieved through this little website. I've met a plethora of lovely people, experienced so many new things and visited multiple new places. And to have accomplished all that while doing something I love - why would I ever stop?

To be honest, I think I got into a bit of a rut, and began publishing content because I felt I ought to, not because I wanted to. I felt guilty for not posting, so I'd half-heartedly write a post, just, because. So, from now on I'm only going to post as and when inspiration strikes. Quality over quantity etc. (I hope that's okay!)

That being said, if there's anything specific you'd like me to post then do let me know, and I'll get stuck in. I spent part of yesterday replying to the comments on my recent posts (something I haven't done in a while, oops), and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for reading, following and just being great.

  1. I think it's vital to only post when you feel passion for it and not when you just feel like you owe something - it's important to understand that you're blog is yours and your fans will understand!

I love reading your blog so much - so I'm glad to hear you're getting back into it. You really have achieved so much on this lovely space!

I think everyone hits a blogging wall every now and then!

    1. I totally agree! I think I'd just got too caught up in posting daily, that I'd forgotten that the actual content is more important!

Aaah, thank you so much! That's honestly made my day!

  2. Sadly I've been the same and I haven't felt motivated at all. I haven't posted properly since March :(
My life has been up and down like a rollercoaster and I just don't think writing about anything but how I feel will work. I'm just going to keep enjoying my spare time away from the internet until I feel blogging inspiration again!

  4. I'm feeling the exact sameright now. I have had 2 months of complete motiviation - where I was writing posts several times a day and making notes constantly of things I can post about. But my last few posts have felt less than exciting, I'm just hoping that I find my motiviation soon. x

  9. I'm going through the exact same thing! I'm posting what I think I should be posting, and then being really disappointed with the outcome. This ends now!.

  10. Seriously don't worry, the blogger funk/blogger's block hits everyone at least once in their blogging life! Sometimes it's just good to take a break, step back and remember why you fell in love with writing and posting in the first place. But glad you're feeling motivated again! Xx
