It's times like these that I appreciate my blog's name; Becca's Fashion and Life. It's so vague, and literally could encompass any style of post. I'm so glad that back in the day I didn't name this little site 'Becca's Beauty Blog 1 xoxo' or something equally as juvenile.
Because, you see, makeup in general doesn't interest me in the slightest anymore. I cannot even tell you the last time I bought a beauty product and my nails currently aren't painted - although I must add that that's due to my work, not me.
So I just wanted to let you all know that I still plan on writing here on BF&L, but please don't be expecting any beauty related content...
I hope to start incorporating more fashion related posts again, and I still very much enjoy rambling about the little things that happen day to day - so expect to see a few more lifestyle posts here and there.
That being said, I have work five out of the seven days next week - so I'm not sure how many posts I'll be able to squeeze in. Also, if there are any posts you'd like to see - just let me know.

Lifestyle blogs are great because you can delve in to areas and relax from those you're not too interested in anymore. However, don't think that you can't post beauty just because you've said so now. If you find a product you absolutely love you should be all means tell us all about it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the nice thing about blogs is you can rename them whatever you like. Becca's Beauty Blog xoxo could easily have turned in to something better as you grew as a blogger. I'd definitely like to see more fashion posts, those are always a win :)

I'm in exactly the same boat. I haven't been blogging properly in a few months. In the time I've been away I've been thinking about the direction I want to take my blog. I still love writing even if people don't read and since I haven't been blogging photography has taken over my life. I finally decided that lifestyle and home posts are more my style. If I see a beauty product and think it's worth a review then I'll definitely write about it but it doesn't appeal to me anymore.

I briefly considered blogging about beauty products, but my "beauty product phase" didn't last very long. Once I found a good set of products, my love for product experimentation (and constant money spending) quickly waned. I liked your beauty posts, but I look forward to your future posts too. I think it's important to always evolve. xx
ReplyDeleteThat's the best thing about it being your blog we love it because of you so I am glad, I am off a lot of beauty lately too xxx
