This Week I... (#23)

Saw Bastille. And, oh my, they were incredible. They were far better live than I had anticipated. I really like that they played both new and old tracks, and here's a fun fact for y'all: Dan Smith's favourite song from the Bad Blood album is These Streets.

Ate too many pancakes. And by too many, I literally mean too many. I'm definitely a lemon and sugar girl, is there a better topping combination? And might I just add, I am the chief pancake flipper in my house.

Discovered lemon water. I've been meaning to give it a go for quite a while now, and I've only just got around to trying it. It's probably the simplest thing ever, but it's really refreshing - plus it's really good for you, I guess!

Have been describing everything as quiche. If you haven't seen Ja'mie Private School Girl, where have you been hiding? It's currently on Iplayer, and it's literally the best programme ever. I don't know what else to say, other than: watch it.

Hosted a surprise tea party. It was a lovely afternoon. We ate way too much cake, drank lots of tea and just generally had a lovely time. Plus, I thought the decorations looked fab, considering how last minute it was. You can read more about our day here.

What have you done this week?
Have you seen Ja'mie?

  2. I'm so jealous that you got to see Bastille live! I missed their last Australian tour and I'm hoping I'll get to see them when they come down under again :) And Ja'mie is probably the best thing Chris Lilley has done to date. It actually depicts all girls' schools in Sydney perfectly, we all love it so much (we may or may not have Ja'mie magnets on our common room fridge). Have you watched Summer Heights High? Because that's the next best thing!
