Maybelline Baby Lips - My Thoughts

Yep, I'm far too late to this party. But, my sister bought me my first Baby Lips for Christmas, and I thought I'd give you my two cents. I hadn't given into the hype as I'd read many a mixed review, and I literally have a gazillion lip balms on the go, at the moment.

So, Peach Kiss is a shimmery nude colour, with you guessed it - a peach scent! It smells delicious, but luckily it's not a tacky, synthetic scent either! I really like the packaging, these could be the cutest lipbalms ever! I love that the text is in a contrasting colour to the tube - and I love this peach and purple combo!

These retail at £2.99 each, and claim to hydrate your lips for 8 hours. However, I don't quite agree - 2 hours is more like it! When on the lips, they feel really smooth and moisturising, but once they've worn off, not so much.

I really like this as a quick, neutral lip product for on the go, but if you're looking for a moisturising balm, this might not be your best bet!

Have you tried any of the Baby Lips?
What do you think of Maybelline products?

  1. I agree with you on these completely! I got one free with a maybelline purchase so thought I'd give them a go. They're ok for a quick on-the-go kinda thing, but I'd prefer something more moisturising so I wouldn't get it again sadly... lol

  3. I agree that they aren't very moisturising but I the shade Cherry Me so wear it for the colour. I did buy all of them but only really get use of Cherry Me and the Intense Care (yellow) one as it is easy for me to carry round at school x

  6. Thanks for the review. Yes, there's been much hype about this product in the beauty world, and I'm happy you gave an honest opinion. I would like the peach scent, and two hours may not be as long as eight, but it's long enough for a drugstore lip product. I may just join the hype, and give it a try. See you next time.

  7. I still haven't tried these yet. I was tempted to get one when they were all over the blogging scene but I think I'm kind of over it now. I'm pretty happy with my current lip balm so I'm not racing to try Baby Lips out at the moment.

  8. I agree these don't hydrate my lips for that long, but they're cute. I have Coral Crush & Twinkle.

  12. I don't use my Baby Lips in "Peach Kiss" to remedy really chapped lips but more for a natural wash of colour when I don't want to bother with a full on lip colour (I also like "Cherry Me" for that). Great review!
