August Favourites

August has been pretty hectic, but definitely in a good way! For one thing there's been no school which means lazy days and no homework. Hooray! I've been in Italy, London and a variety of other places, but I have been using quite a few new products this month as well as a couple of old favourites.

Benefit's Fake Up* is a newer product in my collection but I really like it. It covers any dark circles I have and is a really nice shade, that matches my skin tone. I have this in the shade light, and it lasts all day which is brilliant!

I've featured the Maybeline Color Show polish in Speckled Pink before on my blog, and it's such a pretty polish! I like to wear this with a pale pink/white underneath to make the pink really stand out. I can't believe how lovely this is considering it's only £2.99.

I bought Marks and Spencers lipstick in Melba Blush a couple of weeks ago and it's gorgeous. It's a shiny coral lipstick with a texture very similar to the Revlon lip butters. Considering these are only £5, they're definitely worth having a look at!

Mac's Rubenesque was an impromptu purchase at duty free on the way to Venice. It's a gorgeous shimmery copper and it's just so easy to use. It can be blended out to a pale wash of colour or can be builded up to an opaque colour. This was £12.50, but it normally retails for £15 which isn't toooooo bad I suppose.

As you may have already gathered, I love moisturising lip products. And the Lip Butters are no exception. Berry Smoothie is a natural berry colour and I find it to be really long lasting. It's not the most pigmented of products, but I just love how it looks on my lips.

I bought L'Oreal's Micellar Solution to take to Italy with me, and I've used it every day since. I like to use this to take off all my make up before I wash and cleanse my skin. It's actually really good at removing my eye make up as well as any concealer. I haven't tried Bioderma so I don't know how this compares, but this is amazing considering how cheap it is!

Soap and Glory's Hand Food is definitely a staple for me and it's been my favourite hand cream for the longest time. It smells amazing and is really moisturising. It's also really quite affordable considering it's only £2.50 for this handy travel size!

What have you been loving recently?
Have you tried any of these products?

  5. Ooh I might try the L'Oreal Micellar Solution. I had a sample of Bioderma and I really liked it, but it's too expensive for me to actually buy. Hoping the L'Oreal will be a good substitute!
