5 Under £5

When it comes to make up, let's face it we all love a splurge now and again. But sometimes finding a brilliant budget product is just as great? No, just me? So in today's post I'm going to give a little mention to those products that cost less than your usual order at Starbucks.

First up - Lipsticks. I mean, I know a high end lipstick is the pièce de résistance of high end products. But if you feel like picking up a lipstick in your lunch break, I recommend one of these- your purse can thank me later!

MUA's Shade 15 Juicy is a lovely bright coral shade. It's really pigmented and lasts really well on my lips. My favourite thing about this lipstick is definitely the price! For one Great British pound, it's definitely worth a look!

I really like my coral lipsticks- can you tell? Limited Collection's Melba Blush is essentially a glossier version of the aforementioned MUA number. I find it's really quite similar in texture to my Revlon lip butter. It's a really nourishing lipstick, which for £5 is fantastic.

Wet n Wild is a brand that I wish was more readily available in England, because this eyeshadow trio is beautiful. All of the shades are really soft and pigmented, and are actually really creamy if that makes any sense?!? I love wearing them together, but the chocolatey brown shade is definitely my favourite of the three. It looks so pretty with any neutral eye look and lasts perfectly all day. So if you do manage to get your hands on Wet n Wild products I definitely recommend Walking on Eggshells!

I love benefit's High Beam. But I also love Chit Chat's offering. It's a pearly pink highlighter that blends to a subtle, natural shimmer. The packaging is so similar to High Beam, the only difference being the brush. It's not quite as thick, but I mean for £1. Why not?!?!

I bought my first Barry M nail polish a couple of weeks ago and I love it! I bought the shade Blueberry Ice Cream.  The formula is lovely and this is opaque in two coats. I find this lasts a good 5 days without chipping, and considering this was only £2.99, I'm rather impressed.

What are your favourite bargain beauty buys?
Do you own any of these products?

  2. Great products. I love the MUA brand, but I only own one lipstick of theirs, everytime I go into Superdrug all the colours I'd like have gone. This one is really lovely, a cheap alternative to the one I just posted about on my blog :)

I agree with you on the Wet n Wild thing. I love their products, it's such a shame they are only available on Fragrance Direct.
