The Cream Shadow Awards

I love cream eyeshadows. You know I love cream eyeshadows. I harp on about them enough. For today's post I thought we'd host a little awards ceremony to toast to the best in each category. So, without further ado, onto the nominees: Maybelline - On And On Bronze, Mac - Idyllic, Mac -  Rubenesque and Bourjois -Petale De Glace.

The Best All Rounder
Mac Paintpots! They're so creamy in texture and highly pigmented - plus they easily last all day on the lids! They might be the priciest available, but, I can definitely see why!

Best On A Budget
Maybelline Color Tattoos! These come in at £4.99 and they're genuinely lovely. They're rather pigmented and last all day without fading! I like that these still come in a glass pot, despite the measly price tag!

Best For On The Go
Bourjois 24H Color Edition Shadows! Pretty shades and the texture of these is far drier than any other I've tried, which is why I think it's so good for on-the-go! Purely because you don't need a makeup wipe to remove the residue left on your finger - perfect! Plus the little acrylic pots make them even lighter than a standard shadow!

So there you have it, the best in the cream shadow class!

Have you tried any of these shadows?
What do you think of Mac products? Are they worth the hype?

  1. I'm curious to know how you apply these? As I always think you'd just use your finger, as a makeup brush wouldn't probably be the best way to apply, although I have seen people use brushes..

  4. I keep meaning to try the Mac ones, especially given how often I use the colour tattoos. I used superdrug ones a few weeks back and they were dismal! Will definitely be giving bourjois a go, though.
