On Saturday morning, My Mum and I headed to London on the coach, ready for a weekend full of shopping and other fun things.
A while ago, I won a competition that resulted in a weekend away in Knightsbridge. When we arrived the hotel was rather fancy, with many a concierge and restaurant. Next door was Gucci and there were also lots of other gorgeous boutiques. After dropping off our bags we headed straight to Oxford Street for some much needed retail therapy.
Wow. I'd never imagined such a big Topshop. It's fair to say we spent a long time wandering around, looking around all the floors. We also went to all the other usual favourites including: Miss Selfridge, Urban Outfitters, Boots, Bershka, Forever 21, H&M, Primark and New Look.
After a long day shopping we headed to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. I had a beef burger with fries, which was delicious and certainly needed after a long day shopping. Next, we headed back to the hotel, but made a quick detour to Harvey Nichols on the way, just before closing time.
Sunday morning we woke up at 7, had breakfast at 7.30 and were ready to be at the dungeons for 10. I absolutely loved it at the London Dungeons! There were 2 rides, lots of people dressed up with a bit of history mixed in.
We then headed back to Oxford Street for some last minute shopping before heading back to Victoria for the coach home.
I will be posting a haul of the things I bought soon, so look out for that!
What did you do at the weekend?
Have you been to the dungeons?
congrats on winning the competition! looks like you had a lovely weekend :) x

Thank you :D
DeleteYeah, although it did take a couple of hours to get there :Dxx
Ooh the jealousy, sounds like the ideal weekend -shopping and swanky hotels, what's not to love!?
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, the Oxford Street Topshop is enormous, and on my first visit a quick 'pop in' resulted in a five-hour stay - and that still wasn't enough! Ha.

Looks amazing! I'm going to London with my sister in July and plan on doing the same kind of things :) I bet this hotel was expensive though if it's so close to all the shops :P I can't wait to get into the big Topshop!

ReplyDeleteI went to London for my tenth birthday, and I really wanted to go to the Dungeons, but my younger brother kicked up a fuss and refused to go. So no dungeons for me, waaah. Bringng my small man on holiday to London in September though, hopefully I'll get to squeeze in a visit!
