I've always been a great fan of the Lush bubblegum lip scrub - however at £5, I'm not sure if it's worth it. I say this, because I end up eating most of it, so it's pointless buying it.
I then looked up the ingredients of most lip scrubs and the majority are made of mostly sugar. Which is handy considering everyone has some sugar at home - surely?
Saying that you cant just rub plain sugar on your lips. So I thought of two kitchen ingredients that would make lovely, yummy lip treatments.
For one 'portion' of lip scrub, you simply need:
- A small bowl / plate / tray to mix it on
- A toothpick / small spoon
- Maple Syrup / Honey
- Sugar
1) Add a pea sized amount of maple syrup/ honey to your bowl / plate / tray
2) Add a small spoonful of sugar to the syrup / honey
3) Mix the two ingredients together.
4) Apply to the lips in circular motions
5) Either wash it off or you can eat it afterwards - it's 100% edible.
I made my lip scrub with maple syrup as I'm personally not a great fan of syrup. So I'm not quite sure how much honey you need for one use.
definitely going to try this, as I don't get to Lush often and I need a lipscrub! xo
