Face Of The Day - The Christmas Day Edit

When Christmas Day rolls around, there are two very different type of celebrators. The ones that enjoy a cosy day in pyjamas and onesies, and the others that enjoy dressing up and looking glam. I personally fall into the latter. I love getting dressed up, and to me - that's what Christmas is for!

As for my outfit - I wore a black and gold floral top, a gold chain necklace and some high waisted disco pants. So, makeup wise, I wanted to add a little more colour. I was debating a black and gold smokey eye - but with my (lack of) makeup skills, it wouldn't have been pretty - Christmas panda, anyone?

So, to start off I applied Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow* all over my face, and blended it out with a buffing brush. Next up was Bourjois' cream blush in Nude Velvet (01), followed by ELF's Pinktastic Baked Blush on the cheekbones. I then lightly powdered my face with Miners' Fresh Faced Powder* because we all know Christmas is a long day!

Then I blended Mac's Idyllic paintpot all over my lids, and added Wet'n'Wild's Knock On Wood trio over the top. (I simply blended the lightest colour over the top, added the burgundy to the outer two thirds and then the darkest shade in the crease.) A quick slick of Natural Collection's Liquid Liner, and Benefit's Bad Gal Lash later, it was time to decided on a lipstick.

With all the food I was going to eat, a dark shade seemed silly, but a peachy nude didn't look quite Christmassy enough. Welcome the Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie - a simple, shimmery berry colour.
