An Online Shopping Fail...

Yep. What a fail. Today's post is going to be a little light hearted snippet of my life, about a shopping online fail. Anyway, onto the details...

I was looking for a new dressing table mirror a while ago, and I decided to have a browse on Amazon. I stumbled across this mirror for around £18 I think. I had a voucher to spend, so it seemed like the perfect buy! I popped it in my basket, and waited patiently for it to arrive...

The postman knocked on the door, a couple of days later and handed me a tiny little box. I opened the box, and I'm not going to lie. My heart sank.

Okay, so you might be wondering why I didn't check the dimensions in the descriptions box on the website?! Well, how typical, the dimensions obviously weren't mentioned at all. As I would have discovered that this was like a dolls house sized mirror before I bought it...

However, it's not all bad though, I currently have this on my shelves, With my Benefit perfumes stacked on top, and it looks really pretty! In the little drawer I have all my little perfume vials, which fit perfectly. If I ever post a room décor post, I'll definitely include that corner of my room!

What do you think of shopping online?
Has this ever happened to you?

  2. Oh no, at least you've managed to find a use for it though.
I love online shopping but I'm always careful about who I buy from and I check all the product details first. If there are no product details, I normally give it a miss. I know how tempting it can be though if you've seen something that looks great. Make sure you leave an Amazon review so no one else makes the same mistake haha.
It does look really cute though :)

  3. I hate it when things like this happen! I ordered a candle for my bedroom recently and when it came it was a lot bigger than I expected it to be - far too big to fit on my tiny bedside table! x

  6. It looks gorgeous, such a shame it's smaller than you wanted :(
I've actually had it a few times where I've purchased something and it's been smaller than I realised. The worst was when I actually purchased a handmade wooden chest of drawers for a dolls house thinking it was full sized! Luckily I got a refund without having to mention how dumb I was :p
I now look at the dimensions and if they aren't stated then I request them via message.
Don't worry, we've all been there!

  9. It looks kind of cartoonesque, it's pretty though! Such a shame it was so small. I hate when that happens, one of the main downfalls of shopping online xx
