Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial Review

I know there's been so many Rimmel Apocalips reviews published. But I've waited until the massive hype has decreased slightly, in the hope you'll find this a bit more interesting. As opposed to blogging about this straight away meaning there were 20 Apocalips reviews on you feed. Also, as I've had this for quite a while I've really had a chance to try it out properly.

The shade I have is Celestial, and I was lucky enough to win this as part of Holly's giveaway. It's a gorgeous pinky colour, and I think it suits my skintone quite well, which is something I hadn't anticipated.

As for the actual consistency, when applied it looks quite glossy but dries to a matte finish. But, I personally don't find this product dries out my lips at all. It is a really opaque thick lip product, A lipstick/lipgloss hybrid, if you will.

As for lasting power, it doesn't last terribly well, especially when eating and drinking is involved. The packaging is really sleek and I love the ombre effect, I think it's a really cute touch. The lid is also really different, it's got a sort of chiselled effect.

The doe foot applicator is really soft and easy to use. It also has a slight dip in the centre, which is a perfect amount for a layer of this lip lacquer. This product does transfer, but with this shade it's not too noticeable.

The smell. I can't quite describe it. It's not pleasant but neither is it unpleasant. It's sort of cucumber-ry mixed with plastic.

Overall, I really love this product ad I'll definitely be looking at getting a few more shades!
