An Afternoon Tea

Yesterday, I had a lovely afternoon at a local teashop. I love tea and scones, but I've never really had the urge to go to a local teashop. I mean, on holiday or while visiting somewhere, yes, but it's not something I've ever thought of doing, while at home.

To start off with I had crumpets, mmm mmmmm. How typically British, but, oh my, they were delicious! There were so many lovely baguettes and toasted sandwiches on the menu. But there weren't any that really appealed to me.So crumpets it was.

I had a good old pot of tea, as well as the biggest scone ever. It was a massive cake sized scone that'd been sliced. Except one slice was huge! I layered up the jam and cream, and mmmmmmm, it was so tasty! I had my scone as well as my Mum's. But in fairness, I didn't quite finish hers, so you can all stop judging me now.

The decor was really cute. Oilcloth tablecloths, floral teapots and matching cute dinner service. The flowers hanging outside were really pretty, and made the whole place look really homely and welcoming. Plus they look really lovely on camera.

Have you been to a tea rooms recently?
Do you like tea and scones?
